Book synopsis/description:

The author, who hails from the village of Benaulim which is fringed by the famous Colva beach has penned Mhojea Ban'navle Ganvant (My Benaulim Village), a collection of nostalgic poems recounting his childhood and youthful days in his small village. Sea-shore and mountains, green fields and river, hard working carpenters and the famous Benaulim variety of coconuts which are unique in taste, come alive in this book through words of the poet.

Cirilo evokes memories of the fishermen casting their nets to catch fish and the special place dotting the shore famous for prawns. He remembers the days when the fisher-folk would give them fish fresh from the nets and how they would relish the fish roasted with firewood and palm leaves.

The poet also has another book of poems to his credit, Soddear Vompil'li Jinn besides Veson (one-act plays) and He Jinnent Kanttech Kantte (Only sorrows in this life, a drama).
